A couple of weeks ago, we were so thrilled to be a vendor at the Texas Veggie Fair on our home turf in Dallas. It’s the largest veg fest in Texas, and it’s free to get in. There are speakers, chef demos, musical performances, tons of great vendors, and you never know who you’re going to run into. (Like Blissful Bites author Christy Morgan, photo above!) If you’re in the Dallas area next year we highly recommend checking it out.
The only bummer about regional veg fests is that if you aren’t local, you miss out on all the fun and goodies. And while we can’t bring the whole festival online, we can bring you, internet friends, some swag from our table.

My favourite food fair treat is cotton candy
Baked beans or any other veggie like grilled corn
Ohh it is absolutely funnel cake!
Grilled corn is my favorite fair food. My husband who always had to have corn dogs has even switched over to grilled corn.
The garlic festival here has a truck that sells the most amazing fresh hummus and warm pitas. Look forward to it every fall!
Grilled sweet corn!! Yum
(It used to be…) French Fries soaked with malt vinegar.
I love kettle corn and apple cider slushies!
<3 Plants and <3 BenBella Vegan!
We <3 you, Michelle!
Haven’t come across any healthy fair food yet…
Funnel cake, hands down!
Falafel is my fav fair food!
Gotta have a funnel cake!
I love to find the healthiest food items at the fair!! Baked (vegetarian) beans, veggie tacos and fruit smoothies!! I always amaze my friends by finding healthy choices!
You sound like a great friend to go to the fair with, Leah! 🙂
Looks like a great event. It would be nice to have something similar in my area.
Grilled sweet corn – no butter, of course!
Tofu Satay!
So nice of you to give somethings away! Thanks! Favorite fair food is pizza and candy apples!
The huge cups of freshly squeezed lemonade – wonderful on a hot day at the fair! And roasted corn or other veggies when I can find them, but our county and state fairs tend toward deep fried everything!
Used to be funnel cake but I have a bad feeling this is not vegan 🙁
Laurel, PETA has a vegan funnel cake recipe, so there may be hope after all! http://www.peta.org/recipes/vegan-funnel-cake/
My favorite fair food is a scone with raspberry jam, but I try not to eat that these days, so my second favorite is roasted corn on the cob – no butter!
I love the fresh-picked cherries. Yum!
I had some awesome grilled veggies last time I went to the fair – yum!
Barbara, congrats–you’re our winner! We’ll be in touch via email.
So excited to win – thank you!!
Definitely grilled corn! (When I was a kid it was cotton candy 😉
Fudge … must admit my favorite is fudge; however, I don’t eat dairy anymore, so no more fudge for me.
Favorite festival food is walking around food – I can eat it while still enjoying the vendors, speakers, sites, etc. At Texas Veggie Fair, it was Samosas (I ❤️ Indian food). At yesterday’s vegan Mac Down in Oakland, it was Sriracha black pepper vegan sausage sandwich from The Butchers Son.
That vegan sausage sandwich sounds amazing!
Thanks for this giveaway . My favorite fair food is grilled organic sweet corns. Yummm..!
Grilled corn.
Boiled peanuts in shell and roasted corn on cob are my favorites.
My favorite fair food (only attend veggie fairs) is vegan fried rice with grilled vegetables.
