St. Patty’s Day is just around the corner and, given that the holiday’s alternate name is the Feast of Saint Patrick, it only seems fitting that food (and beer) plays a major role in our celebration of the patron saint of Ireland. Just a small gripe, sorry, but it’s not St. Patty’s day, ever. It’s St. Patrick’s Day or St. Paddy’s Day or Paddy’s Day or The Feast of St. Patrick, but we never use Patty.
